Kanyini’s orbit around a warm charcoal globe, seen from Lot Fourteen

Live satellite films for South Australian space missions.

Mission films that recompute from live orbital data every time they play, so the film you show an investor today is true today.

Kanyini, South Australia’s own satellite, over the Australian Space Discovery Centre (opens in a new tab) at Lot Fourteen. Drag to turn the globe. Orbital data: CelesTrak.

A satellite launch film that’s computed and always live.

A rendered video is frozen on the day it was exported. Orbits are not: drag lowers them, operators manoeuvre, and a pass you promised over Adelaide drifts by minutes within a week.

Orbiwatch starts from the satellite’s latest orbital elements from CelesTrak and works the orbit forward from there with the standard propagation model. The period, the altitude and the next pass over your site are worked out on the spot, and the film is drawn from those numbers.

Put the live film on your website and it recomputes every day. When you need a file for a deck, a screen or a social post, export the MP4: our film pipeline renders it in 1080p from the same numbers.

Three ground tracks of Kanyini crossing a coastline map, each further west
Kanyini’s next three orbits over the ground, worked out from today’s elements (CelesTrak). Each one lands about 23° further west, because the Earth turns beneath it.

A rendered video is made once and is right on the day it was exported. A living film works itself out again from current elements every day, and still gives you an MP4 whenever you need a file.

Satellite films that stay true

Today’s orbital data, turned into films that play live on your website, a lobby screen or a deck.
