Live satellites over SpaceX launch sites.

Four SpaceX sites in the United States, from the Starship pad in Texas to the California pad that launched South Australia’s satellite. Pick one: the film moves there and works out what is overhead, from today’s orbital elements.

About Starlink-2105

Where Starship is built

Starbase, SpaceX’s launch site on the Gulf of Mexico

Starbase, at Boca Chica on the southern tip of Texas, is where SpaceX builds and flies Starship, the largest rocket yet flown. Starship first flew from here in April 2023.

The ground track follows Starlink-2105, one of several thousand satellites in SpaceX’s network. Its orbit is tilted 53 degrees, so it also passes over Australia, Adelaide included.

Satellites over SpaceX sites, computed today.

The films here use the newest orbital elements CelesTrak publishes for each satellite, fetched every two hours, and run the orbit forward with the standard propagation model.

Passes are worked out for each site’s latitude and longitude, in the site’s own time zone, so the sky over Kennedy LC-39A is not the sky over Vandenberg.
